Version 3.0 β Last updated: 11 September 2026
This policy explains how Foliostone uses cookies and similar technologies on the website app.foliostone.com and in its applications (the "Service"), and how you can control them. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
It is drawn up in accordance with art. 45c of the Swiss Federal Telecommunications Act (TCA), the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for users located in the European Economic Area, Directive 2002/58/EC ("ePrivacy") as transposed into national law, as well as the GDPR.
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by your browser at the request of a website, allowing that device to be recognised and certain information to be remembered. The similar technologies covered include browser local storage, measurement scripts and mobile application identifiers.
Foliostone uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and transmits no browsing data to advertising networks or data brokers.
The cookies and trackers used fall into three categories:
On your first visit, a banner allows you to accept, to refuse non-essential cookies or to customise your choices. Your decision is remembered for thirteen (13) months at most, after which you are asked again.
| Purpose | Examples | Indicative duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication and session: keeping you logged in, secure session renewal, protection against impersonation | session and refresh cookies issued by the Service (Secure, HttpOnly) | session to a few days; absolute expiry at thirty days |
| Security: protection against forged requests (CSRF), securing sign-in through a third-party authentication service, anti-bot check at registration | technical cookies of the Service and of the anti-bot provider | session to a few minutes |
| Consent: remembering your cookie choices | folio_consent | 13 months |
| Preferences: language, display theme, interface settings, resuming a form in progress | language cookie, browser local storage | 12 months or duration of the session |
| Payment: securing transactions and preventing fraud on the subscription and billing pages | cookies of the payment provider, governed by its own policy | up to 24 months |
With your agreement, a product analytics tool collects, under a pseudonymous identifier, the pages viewed, the features used and the journeys within the Service, in order to improve its usability. The data may be processed outside the European Union under the conditions described in the Privacy Policy. Duration: twelve (12) months at most; immediate deactivation and deletion if consent is withdrawn. This tool performs no session recording or heat mapping.
The mobile applications do not use cookies. They store your session token and your preferences locally and in encrypted form and, if you enable notifications, a device token transmitted to your platform's notification service. No advertising identifier is collected.
From the Service: the consent banner can be reopened at any time from the footer to change your choices; logging out deletes the authentication cookies.
From your browser: the privacy settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge allow cookies to be blocked or deleted.
Consequences: blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents sign-in, registration and payment; blocking preference cookies resets your choices on each visit; refusing audience measurement cookies has no consequence.
The processing of personal data resulting from the use of cookies (purposes, legal bases, durations, transfers, rights) is described in the Privacy Policy.
Foliostone updates this policy whenever a cookie or tracker is added, modified or removed. The version in force is the one published on the Service. Any new tracker that is not strictly necessary is subject to prior information and a request for consent.
