Entity roles and ownership

Foliostone uses a flexible role and ownership model to accurately represent how wealth is held across multiple entities.

Ownership percentages — When an entity owns shares in another entity (e.g., a family member owns 40% of an SCI), Foliostone uses this to calculate consolidated net worth. You set ownership percentages when linking entities together.

Workspace roles control who can do what within Foliostone:

OWNER — Full control over the workspace including settings, billing, and user management.

ADMIN — Can manage assets, entities, and reports but cannot change workspace settings or billing.

MEMBER — Can view and create assets and transactions but cannot manage users or settings.

VIEWER — Read-only access to dashboards and reports. Ideal for advisors or family members who need visibility without editing.

These roles work alongside entity ownership to give you fine-grained control over both data access and wealth modeling.
